My Visions, Dreams, and Goals

1. Get a bachelors and masters degree by 2017.
2. Do some art education [like professional studies or a second bachelors] specific to Visual Merchandising, by 2015.
3. Have at least 2 years each of Visual Merchandising and Buyer experience by 2020.
4. Go to 3 major USA national foosball tournaments and 1 major multitable foosball tournament in Europe by the time I am 27.
5. Visit Vienna, Austria again - for at least a month before I turn 30.

All of these goals are within my reach and have a time limit so that I don't get lazy ;-). These are things that I really want to do and will take a large amount of effort and time that I am willing to make/sacrifice/invest.
I am willing to practice foosball harder and possibly get to play the most elite in this world, learn many things, and win some money to support the addiction in the near term. This will allow me to play in multitabled event and possibly win [yeah right!].
I am also willing and able to go and visit Austria for a month. I have saved up money and will continue saving to reach my goal. I have loved Vienna from the moment I laid eyes on the beautiful and artistically cultural city [4-5 years ago].
I will apply for visual merchandising classes at my dream school [LIM] as soon as I graduate which I have also saved up for.
I am currently seeking Visual Merchandising opportunities.

  1. These are really ambitious goals! I see that you are into marketing and visual designing. That is great! It is always tough to manage school and work at the time same. I actually wrote a blog on time management for one of our earlier assignments.

Well good luck on your goal! You should come back in a few years and reflect on how far you are on each of them.

  3. Ahh visual merchandising, almost similar to my own vision! You probably have the same interests as me in the fashion world. I've never even heard of LIM until you mentioned it. I did a quick google search and might be interested in applying for some courses there! I also like how you don't rush your visions. You set ample time between each goal allowing yourself trial and error situations. What I have also planned for myself was to obtain an internship within Western Europe to further enlightenment myself on the industry. It's extremely coincidental I have someone with a similar goal in my class! Well, good luck with everything and I'm pretty sure I will run into you in the future!

  4. Seems like you really like Europe. Have you thought about moving over there when you become successful? Europe is full with artistic things and so beautiful to visit and very romantic. I'm sure you will reach those goals in the very near future to come.

  5. As mentioned by Francis, it's great that you have an idea of when you want to achieve each of your goals and have made realistic deadlines for them.

It's awesome to read about your passion for Foosball, and I know you'll get very far with that. With that strong passion, you'll be able to achieve great things.

If you adopt your goal of getting a bachelors and masters degree by 2017 as part of your personal vision plan of the future, you will be able to put your other goals on the fast track because it'll definitely open the door to many opportunities.

    Good luck! =]
